One good thing that I have learned to appreciate from this training, despite the fact that I am locked out from the outside world, is the networking chances you can get with new strangers.

Seems like there is a growing trend of Internet marketers now and I happened to know one - he preferred to remain low profile and quietly earns his “pocket money” from the internet.

When I started this blog with an aim to promote affiliate products, seem like this “friend” of mine is already doing so - illegal and legal ways and making better money as we are speaking.

When I spoke to him about Jimmy D. Brown, seems like he knew much about him and was commenting that he started his online marketing partly based on what Jimmy D. Brown has taught in his Six Figure Formula E-coaching.

Out of good will and also because of my constant pestering, I begged him to let me peep into one (just one) of his teaching material. He agreed to let me have a copy of the first lesson.

I got hold of the First Lesson and was quite shocked to find that the material is since 2006 (two years old material) but still applicable in today’s context.

The bug, if you should encounter, is this: When you are creating a new post (within WordPress 2.6), the format of posting style is only in HTML format, though the tab is on the Visual. To really confirm that the bug exists, try clicking on the HTML tab, you will not be able to click to it.

The Solutions that I have tried are this, in chronological orders:

• Remove the Browser Cache and Internet Files
• Change CHMOD (permission settings to files) to 777 for files:
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/blank.html
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/license.txt
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/tiny_mce.js
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/tiny_mce_config.php
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/tiny_mce_ext.js
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/tiny_mce_popup.js
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/wordpress.css
  • /wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-mce-help.php
• Both methods did not work well for me, so I decided to try out this new method:
  • Remove the cache javascript file from the /wp-content/uploads/js_cache folder.
  • Completely delete the contents of the /wp-includes/js.
  • Copy of the contents of the js folder from the wordpress installation files.
  • Run up your admin page and check to see if its fixed.

The above and last method works like wonders and finally solve this issue. If you do have a similar issue, do a back-up of your database first and try the above methods to resolve this issue.

The reason is that you are not the only affiliate promoting the products so don’t let the duplicate content affect your search engine ranking.

• Why will this product or service work for me (this time or as compared to other competitors’ similar products)?
• Why do you want me to do this (use this product)? You can explain that the techniques of yester-years are no longer valid and this product are inline with the latest.
• What are you trying to accomplish? This question may sound weird, and a typical answer is you want to make money, this will be a no-no. Rather you can make use of this advertisement to promote yourself as a professional. Remember provide value first! Money will come later!
• What will this mean to me (after using this product)? Remember to highlight the benefits like e.g. saving time in running your online business and having more time for your family and yet still having a better income than before.
• How will this effect me (as compared to before)? You can talk about the technical features of your products like e.g. being able to automate the contents so that your website always look updated.
• How do I win? Humans are competitive in nature and do not wish to lose out to others. Highlight your most important benefit that will make your readers (make them imagine) feel that they are going to be the next winner!

There you go.

These are the common questions that one may have. If you can think of more, feel free to adapt and expand on this guide. You may also realize that by answering most of these questions in your advertisment - you may get a lengthy post. So the next challenge for yourself is if you can shorten your writing by emphazizing on the essence of what you want to offer.

One of the advice that many successful markters will give to new online marketers will be to concentrate on your niche and blog often on that niche.

And, to be able to blog often, you have to learn how to give advice and suggestions in your blogging. From there onwards, you will slowly build up your traffic and subscribers. That’s where you also build your fame and can result in good monetary sense. Agree?

So one of the ways to gauge, I believe, whether you are a professional or expert in your niche is if you do read what you have posted and most importantly using what you have posted as a reference.

For example, I have ever written a post on how to write articles to drive sales and traffic and articles, as many marketers would strongly recommend, article marketing is one of the good tools to use in your online business. So whenever I do write an article and I want to use a good template to gauge - I can use my post as a reference.

So what does this mean to you and to others? Simply put, if you preach what you says and use what you know, other marketers will pick it up and have better perception of you as a professional in your niche.

Remembering, blogging is not just posting for others to enjoy. Blogging what you know, can be a good reference for your own as well.

Learn from what you have posted and you can be a better professional!

Here’s my past history of using Wordpress:

• When version 2.5 was released, I was relunctant to upgrade from my 2.3.1. This is a very old habit of human being - the relunctance to change. Until this site got hacked by some Russian guy (I mentioned about him on my twitter profile), this was a tough lesson to learn as 2.3.1 does have its vulnerability.
• When I have upgraded to 2.5 then to 2.5.1, everything seems good - the new and professional interface but it does have its flaw (which I have regrets upgrading), which was that the “new flash based” media uploader is not working for Firefox users but well for Explorer users. Other than that, everything about version 2.5.1 is pleasant enough. So while using 2.5.1 till recently, I have been switching to and fro from Firefox and Internet Explorer - just to add in the pictures.

So what’s new for WordPress version 2.6 that I have noticed?

1. The Media Uploader has two options now - Flash based or Normal.
2. For you - numbers conscious - in terms of word count for your blog post, there is this new feature now under the “Save/Publish” option.
3. A new interface for the Plugins settings whereby all the activated ones are separated from the non-activated ones. Neat!

Oh yar, have you noticed a change in theme for this site? This is a free theme offered by UniqueBlogDesigns which can be comparable to the one used by John Chow. Just a bit of tweaking here and there, this blog theme will have its own values.

If you are interested in this theme, just click on the link above, do note that if you are using the StripeAd by MaxBlogPress - the header title and menu will be shifted down (due to CSS coding) - once I have explored and find a way out of this darkness, I will keep you all posted.

Some of my uses for Google Keyword Research Tool

I like to follow the success of some of the famous blogs like Alvin Phang’s GatherSuccess, John Chow and Carlo Cab.

By using the Google Keyword Research Tool, you can roughly gauge which keywords Google is ranking them in the search engine.

Next, after you know the keywords, you can follow their Posting Style, how they post and get ranked.

Then you can do your own routine research for your own blog to see which keywords are slowly being picked up by Google.

I must say, the Google Keyword Research Tool is a very handy tool indeed. After a few months of blogging and trying my hands on “making money online”, now my blog is being picked up by these keywords. *Pat on my back*

Definitely, putting my blog into this genre, is like a continuous battle of who is the best online money maker.

So using the Old Google Keyword Research Tool only tell you which are the keywords being picked up but you do not know which is the best keyword (= blogging direction) to use as what you see, are just colored bar.

Google Keyword Research Tool - The Present

With the recent upgrade by Google, I am seeing a grin on my face. Why? As you can see below:

Google is showing numbers! Now not only do you have the information of which are the keywords being picked up, you can now slowly narrow down to better research stuff like:

• The Same - Which Keywords are low in Advertiser Competition (meaning keywords not being widely used)
• The New - The Approximate Search Volume for last month and overall. This information can let you know the growing trend of keywords and which is the better choice.

This new feature is also widely raved about by successful internet marketers in terms of Affiliate Marketing. They are happy that now they can know which keywords they can use for their Adwords or Pay-Per-Click campaign without being in heavy competitions with others.

Been a long while since I saw myself doing much of a review for a online marketing product. Erm, other than the fact that I just promoted Jimmy D Brown’s Membernaire Program in my latest post.

It’s not that there are no new products worth doing a review; everyday I am still receiving a huge list of emails promoting the next big thing, with the amazing offers of bonuses.

But my feeling after going through them - aren’t they offering the same old stuff again? Do you agree with me on that?

No offence there to all the internet marketers, but just feeling that the whole online marketing industry is not expanding much.

Much of the information being offered are still focusing on how to:

• Get started in online marketing,
• Drive Traffic to your site,
• Build your own list and maintaining a good relationship,
• Produce your own products,
• Market your stuff to different channels like Amazon, eBay, Squidoo to the most common, Facebook and MySpace
• Finally set all the above on automation and wait for the money to “roll” in?

Most of the information out there are still on these areas but just packaged differently. I remembered paying $97 for a certain ebook that some other is selling for $27 - same information, but just that the $97 ebook has a longer sales page and more bonuses.

So does it really work for all? I guess not, else most of the internetprenuers would have stopped buying all these same information.

But is there still hope or a certain bright light somewhere? My take is… Yes! I feel that a lot of new and full of potential internetprenuers have all the information needed to get started. But rather is the lack of having the same mindset as to those successful internet marketers, e.g.:

• How to blog (the same style) like Darren Rowse, John Chow, Zac Johnson - they blog frequently and they are getting paid like CEOs.
• How to create successful sites like ClickBank, Paydotcom, Click2Sell, or even Facebook, MySpace and Friendster.
• Or even the owning the next big dream like becoming the next Google, Yahoo, Apple or Microsoft.

The last one may seem a bit far-fetched but nonetheless, nothing is impossible. I just hope to see more of myself doing reviews on these new subjects soon.
