Landing page is the first page of your website which visitor sees after clicking on a search engine result, online ad or promotional email. The success and failure of an online campaign depends completely on your landing page. Hence, you need a successful landing page that sells well to make your online campaign profitable. In this post, I am going to share some tips which you should follow to make your landing page successful.
Relevance: – Your Landing page should be completely relevant to your advertisement. Be sure to use the similar titles and keywords in your landing page as you have used in your online ads. For e.g.:- If you are offering free 30-day trial for a software in your Advertisement then your landing page should not ask them to pay for downloading software.
Originality: – The content of your Landing page should be completely original. In case, you are an affiliate and trying to sell product of another company then don’t copy the exact content from the parent website. Google Adwords never show two ads directing people to pages with similar content or identical pages.
Customized Landing pages: – Your Landing pages should focus on one offer at time. If you are running multiple offers at same time then you should create separate landing pages for each offer. The landing pages with different offers distract user mind and don’t convert well.
Heading: – Heading is the first thing which a person sees on a landing page. Your headline should be attention grabbing so that it can get your user attention easily. Your headline should say what your user wants to hear. Make sure to make your headline bold and big so that it can stand out from the remaining page.
Testimonial and Reviews: – To sell anything you need to build trust among your customers about your products. Adding short testimonials and honest reviews from the experts is very important to make the landing page successful. You can also add the logos of recognized companies like BBC, CNN to build credibility about your products.
Relevant Images: – There is an old saying that images speak more than 1000 words. Adding relevant images about your products and offers help in conveying your messages in more efficient way with less effort.
Call to Action Link: – The most important part of the landing page is Call to Action Link as the main aim of landing page is to convince users to get the desired action. Remember to add your Call to Action Link at the top where it is easily visible to users and can grab user attention easily. Landing pages with an easily visible call to action link convert much better than others.
Reduce Page Size: – No one like to wait for your landing page to get loaded. Most of the people are still using dial-up connections. Avoid using lot of images and flash on your landing page. You can reduce the load time of your landing page by using image compressors and avoiding iframes.
Measuring Results: - You should keep on measuring the results you are getting from the landing pages. You can use different landing pages for the same offer so that you can know which landing page converts well and what things work much better than others.

Good article. I didn’t think about reducing the page size. Maybe I’ll mess around with that. Thanks.
