Mr. Cake is afraid… and has been taking some sleeping pills to keep the ghostly image off his mind… Why? He saw a youtube video footage that there has been some ghost sightings near his working place. Also… he has the habit of staying late in the office due to heavy work commitments… He’s scared to encounter these “figures”. Watch this video and believe for yourself…

So what do you think? Is there really such a thing as ghost?

Before you scare yourself off with more such videos (apparently, the creator has released a few more follow-up videos support the claim)… Like to share that this is actually a marketing hoax created by a Recruitment Agency.

The Message behind this video: “There is such thing as ghost in the office”… Nope… The Actual Message is reading: “You should not be working late (else you may just encounter ghost!)”

So what can you learn from this kind of marketing campaign and how you can apply to your online business?

Indirect Selling. Play to your clients’ mind and fear with Sight and Sound! Get them to a stage whereby they are vulnerable - show them your solution and what you can do for them! Let them appreciate your existence.

Imagine if this Recruitment Agency is to simply broadcast their ability to find a job that is so good - without having to work late and such - all this and more on their website. Will you be sold? Or rather… you may be thinking… how are you as compared to other Agencies and are you really that good to find me such a job?

If you find this style of marketing suitable for your online business, these are the breakdowns of steps that you need to implement a successful campaign:

  1. Diagnose the pain or fear that your clients may have. (this case of the possibility of meeting a ghost, if you are working late when you shouldn’t have)
  2. If you have many unique selling propositions - concentrate on one. (this case the Recruitment Agency is selling their beneficial service of finding a job that is work-efficient for you - get paid well and normal work hours - more time for yourself and family)
