My Agony With Harris Fellman’s Coup De Twitter Affiliate Program – Resolved

by Dexter Damien Chan on September 5, 2010

in Rambling

I am having my agonies with Harris Fellman and one of his products, Coup De Twitter because it has been 2 months since a sale has been done and there’s no affiliate payment since then!

*Updated As Of 07 September 2010, Mr Harris Fellman has actually responded to my blog post and because of some technical misunderstandings right from the start, this agony has been resolved on a peaceful note. So if you are currently promoting his products, please continue to do so!

There’s no clear explanation (which he did so in his personal comment below) on his affiliate program (powered by JROX.com) as to when’s the payment date. And also despite the numerous Support Tickets that I have sent over to his HelpDesk, there’s no response till date (this is the technical misunderstanding).

If Harris Fellman is really an Online Marketer that does not pay his affiliates (he does pay, even though he may be out of town), then should you be promoting his Products now, especially via the Pay-Per-Click channel, you ought to stop pouring your money out now (please continue to promote) and concentrate your efforts on other products.

Here’s some of the image details:

Harris Fellman And His Products

Harris Fellman is not a newbie Online Marketer and he is one of the special marketer who markets his range of products using different personality, namely, Sal The SiteStealer, Robert Johnson, Santa Sal and Fung Mi Hah.

Pretty active on Twitter as well as you can see from the number of followers that he has, which you can check him out @HarrisFellman…

But not every much active in responding to his helpdesk… (but he responded to my blog post after all, and should there be any need for you to contact him, please read the comment below for his personal contact)

And from his personal blog site – http://www.harrisfellman.com/

These are the products that he has created/co-created

I have not personally promoted any other products other than the Coup de Twitter, which is a hot launch back in August 2009 and my recent sale came in July 2010. And my only promotion resulted in a non-payment status.

So if you did face the same situation like me and you found a solution out of this, hope you can share with me your solution, as a comment below. (Thanks in advance)

A Good Affiliate Marketing Advice

Though this post is more of letting you of a non-paying affiliate program, I would still like you to take away with a good piece of affiliate marketing advice - always be promoting! Even if the product has been around for quite some time, as long as the quality of the content is good, just keep promoting either with a blog post update or through an autoresponder.

A good example is like Coup de Twitter, which I have promoted back during it’s first launch and my first sale only came about 1 year later.

Hey thanks so much for posting this publicly instead of trying to reach me directly. All of my coup de twitter customers have my direct contact info & I thought my affiliates did too. Although it’s an older program & pieces may have fallen off (although I’m shocked to hear you had months of support tickets & didn’t hear back from my staff).

I honestly haven’t read your entire post yet – I’m on my iPhone & out of town w/ my family. I try to make it easy to find me though .. My cell phone # is on the bottom of every email. My Skype & gmail name is harrisfellman … Lots of other affiliates & jv types know how to reach me as well. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with me, but you obviously didn’t try too too hard to find me.

Anyway our affiliate system is set to pay out if you make over $100. I know it seems like a technicality .. But it’s to protect against people just signing up as an affiliate, purchasing the product for themselves, & getting an instant 50% discount. So, is someone is only due $99.50, if they contact us, we pay em.

Either way – like I said I’m on my iPhone right now.. Please contact me at harrisfellman at gmail dot com & I’ll get you your $99.50 asap.

Hi Mr Harris Fellman, thanks for your personal comment and for resolving this agony despite you being out of town with your family.

Firstly I must admit that I have not tried finding you hard enough as this is my first and only working contact with you and it’s through the Coup de Twitter’s Affiliate Program, the Support Helpdesk and your Personal Blog.

Secondly I couldn’t find any contacts about you from your Personal Blog, I do not keep any of your emails and I did try using your HelpDesk only to realize that the Support Tickets have been deleted off the system. And I also do not know about the terms and conditions you have set for your affiliate system till you posted it here. I have tried googling for the terms and conditions of your program but nothing appeared.

That’s why my only alternative is to highlight this through my blog. Not meant to be a form of bad publicity.

But I am glad that everything ended in a happy note. And at least your personal action has gone to show you are a responsible Online Marketer. I believe most readers here will stand to gain, knowing that they can promote your products and will be paid for their efforts.

I must be frank that there are still some marketers who do not pay their affiliates. And you are definitely not one of them! Thanks once again!
