Review Sites, Squidoo and Hubpages Are Everywhere

It’s scary to know that Review Sites, Squidoo and Hubpages are all over the Search Engine Results…

If you do not know what are Review Sites, Squidoo Lens and Hubpages all about - they are simply the commonly used marketing methods now to promote personally reviewed affiliate products. Review Sites can exist in the form of a blog, just like this, whereas Squidoo Lens and Hubpages are normally one page recommendations.

To put that in acutal context, are you currently keeping yourself updated with all the latest releases of online marketing resources?

If you are, you should have noted that there are a few current big releases like Commission Blueprint, Secret Affiliate Code 2 and the Continuity Blueprint.

When products of such are released, affiliate marketers are very busy and the owners are getting happier. Affiliate Marketers are busy with creating Review Sites, Squidoo Lens and Hubpages and planting them with all their personal bonuses, hoping to get as much commission as possible. The owners will be laughing to the bank because of the efforts of these hardworking marketers.

Do you want proof of these pages in the Search Engine? See this when I did a search for Secret Affiliate Code 2:

Scary right? Amazingly as well, the original site is not even on the main page. Taking its place on the main list is the review sites from Blogger.com, Squidoo, Blogsome, WordPress, Hubpages and many more.

Upon clicking on some of the links:

  • Some are genuine with the Affiliate Marketers personally using the program and testing out the tips listed (Bogus? You decide?)
  • The rest are just parking pages (getting popular nowadays and being taught in some of the new releases).

The Impact?

  1. The owners are definitely the happiest, which is a good thing as they have spent lots of efforts on creating programs to benefit marketers like you and me.
  2. The owners are definitely the happiest (I do not mean to repeat this statement), which is a bad thing as there are times whereby you do see products created with the same content you may find in other better product (which is cheaper). These owners are just tapping on the review sites and parking pages to ride on the wave. Remember seeing snapshots of sudden increase in ClickBank’s commission, you get what I mean.
  3. Genuine Affiliate Marketers are finding it hard to make a better living out of this. Genuine Affiliate Marketers are those who personally tried the product and giving their personal opinions and review and are therefore rewarded with the visitors making the purchase with them. In order to compete against all these parking pages, these marketers have to come up with better SEO, Pay-Per-Click or even bonuses.
  4. Parking Pages are like litters. They are created to take away the places of other Genuine Affiliate Marketers in the search engine. You can basically go to these sites and what you will be seeing are just some posts which will not be updated again. Who will be affected? Think Pointer #3. Who will be smiling? Think Pointer #2 and Pointer #1.

A Good Solution

It’s quite disheartened to know that it’s getting tougher to be an affiliate marketer especially having to know that you and I have to compete hard in terms of the rankings in the search engine.

But I know of a good solution to this issue, which is also very common, is that of email marketing - or promoting your affiliate products through emails to your mailing list. This is one of the better ways to lessen the impact of depending on organic search traffic to your site. You can also build up a better relationship with your subscribers in the long run with email marketing.
