Explaining The What, Why and How To Your Worthy Readers Or Clients

Part of what you need to do in online marketing is writing good advertisements (or blog posts) to promote your products or services.

If you are promoting an affiliate product and using the Ads provided by the vendor - my suggestion is to stop using or to modify the major bulk of content provided to your writing style. The reason is that you are not the only affiliate promoting the products so don’t let the duplicate content affect your search engine ranking.

So if you feel that you are not good in writing your own advertisement or product reviews, here is a worthy guide that you can follow when you are writing your next money-making advertisement. This guide is adapted from a book by Jeffrey Gitomer - Little Green Book of Getting Your Way: How to Speak, Write, Present, Persuade, Influence, and Sell Your Point of View to Others (Jeffrey Gitomer’s Little Books).

Your Guide To Writing A Worthy Advertisement

When your worthy readers, subscribers or clients open your next email or on a search link to one of your blog posts with an advertisement or product review promoting your “next big product”, most of these people have one thing in common thinking - they’re skeptical and will start to consider whether the next 2 minutes are worth their reading and further exploring to what you are offering.

They have a lot of questions in their mind that they hope they will be able to get an answer from your posting. Questions like:

  • What is this product or service that you are offering to me? Try to explain the product in few words. If you have to explain the main benefit in a lengthy paragraph - you’ve killed your readers!
  • Why will this product or service work for me (this time or as compared to other competitors’ similar products)?
  • Why do you want me to do this (use this product)? You can explain that the techniques of yester-years are no longer valid and this product are inline with the latest.
  • What are you trying to accomplish? This question may sound weird, and a typical answer is you want to make money, this will be a no-no. Rather you can make use of this advertisement to promote yourself as a professional. Remember provide value first! Money will come later!
  • What will this mean to me (after using this product)? Remember to highlight the benefits like e.g. saving time in running your online business and having more time for your family and yet still having a better income than before.
  • How will this effect me (as compared to before)? You can talk about the technical features of your products like e.g. being able to automate the contents so that your website always look updated.
  • How do I win? Humans are competitive in nature and do not wish to lose out to others. Highlight your most important benefit that will make your readers (make them imagine) feel that they are going to be the next winner!

There you go.

These are the common questions that one may have. If you can think of more, feel free to adapt and expand on this guide. You may also realize that by answering most of these questions in your advertisment - you may get a lengthy post. So the next challenge for yourself is if you can shorten your writing by emphazizing on the essence of what you want to offer.

Using Google Analytics For Blogging Topics and Automated Money-Making System.

Are you one of those bloggers who face Writers’ Block frequently or do not have a specific direction on how your blog should go?

If you are having these problems… How about Using Google Analytics (Free Program) to help source some valuable ideas/topics today?

You can even use this as an automated money-making system to help you become a Guru, earn some nice dough promoting affiliate products and your own!

How good is that?

What is Google Analytics and How To Take Part?

Google Analytic, as simple as it is, is a tool offered by Google to help webmasters or bloggers like you and me to help track and monitor your traffic and visitors to your sites.

If you are using Google Adwords, Google Analytics is a by-far the best companion for it.

To learn more about the features, click on to understand better… And to sign on, if you are owning a Gmail Account, use that email address to sign up, it’s that simple.

Upon signing up, be ready to copy and paste the codes offered to your web template and wait for at least 24 hours for the first batch of keywords to appear.

Once you are ready… this is what you need to do after you sign in…

  • Look to the Sidebar and Click on “Traffic Sources then Keywords”

googleanalyticssidebar.jpg

  • From there, you will see some nicely-colored charts and way below, you’ll see the meat - the keywords that others are using to get to your site.googleanalyticskeywords.jpg
  • As seen above, you can see that in the typical month of June, some readers are getting to this blog via the 10 long-tail keywords. And the #1 keyword is “make money online forum” - which could mean that some readers are interested in finding forums that can teach them how to make money online (which is a problem and they need a solution!)

Once you have this kind of information in mind, it’s time to get cracking and put your thinking hat to use - be the expert in your niche - Provide some useful resources, marketing techniques, software, eb00ks  and target on this.

Repeat this process, get a hand of it and there you have it:

  • Lesser Writer’s Block Syndrome
  • Better Focus and Sense of Direction for your blog
  • A chance to be a solution-provider to your blog readers and make some money from it.

The Rise of Boo Boo’s of Twitter

If you are on some of the mailing sites of online newsroom, you may be getting some bad press on Twitter… and…

Twitter.com

If you are in your Twitter’s account, you’ll notice this:

Twitter will be short some features while we recover from a database crash. See our blog post for the whole story.

And as you read further on in the Twitter’s Blog, more signs of dark clouds hovering, like:

  • A popular blogger accuses Twitter of refusing to enforce their Terms of Service
  • An errant API project overloading their main database, resulting in the error pages and slowness most people are now encountering.

Are more bad things to come, let’s really keep our fingers crossed…

My two-cents worth of view and suggestion for Twitter:

Twitter is something unique that I have ever came across after blogging and RSS Feed. Why? Blogging invites the updating of the latest happenings anytime, anywhere… RSS Feed makes every blog portable and easy to access…

Twitter is the combination of both (blogging and RSS Feed) in congested form - easy to access, straight-to-point, updated information.

At this juncture, what I am seeing is that Twitter is growing at a rate that’s way too fast. (it’s a free service and many popular bloggers are heavily promoting the use of Twitter - because of them, I have some people following me now…Wow!)

Secondly, may I know who is supporting Twitter in its expansion? Where are the revenues coming in from? There are no banners, no Google Adsense and no donation box in sight.

For such a good service, I do not mind seeing some banners or some advertisement sponsorship. Do you all agree?

Spice Up Your Twittering with…

Have been observing some of the Gurus - Ed Dale and Alvin Phang for instance, on my twitter account…

Twitter.com

Seems like they are using a few evil-in-making tools to help spice up their twittering experience.

Let me be your spy… and see what they are using. It’s time to bookmark them if need be. Are you ready?

  1. http://twitterfeed.com - Provide them with the URL for your blog’s RSS feed, and how often they should post to twitter. Seems good if you are promoting an affiliate link. (a standalone service)
  2. http://www.alertthingy.com - as claimed. It’s a desktop app for FriendFeed.com (what’s that?). Seems to work well with Twitter and Flickr with FriendFeed.com as the main core of attention. (could this be a new plot for world domination? - Ed Dale is using a lot of this to post to Twitter…)
  3. http://www.seesmic.com - as claimed, it’s a so-called dashboard for your videos. Still in alpha stage. Another evil plot in the making…
  4. http://www.twittergram.com - designed to work like a telegram service but Twitter style. Comes with MP3 uploading service. Will somebody sing me a “sexy nurse voice” birthday song?
  5. Twitter Tools - a wordpress plugin designed by Alexking. As explained… This plugin creates an integration between your WordPress blog and your Twitter account. Pull your tweets into your blog and create new tweets on blog posts and from within WordPress.

Are You Twittering Today?

The latest craze or “in-thing” on the internet would be “What are you twittering today?”

Twitter.com

Just to share a bit of my twittering background, was that I learn about Twitter from Ed Dale in the Thirty Day Challenge.

I, and many others should, must really give credit to Ed Dale because if many do not know… way before Twitter is spreading like wild fire - he was already promoting the idea of twittering in the famous 30-Day Challenge and has made a claim that this would be the next thing. So look what has happened now.

Watch the video Ed Dale has created back in September’07 entitled  “The Tao of Twitter”

Give you a joke of what happened to me, when I first created my Twitter account - I do not know what to put on it… but the site gave a brief description - “twitter anything about you…” I created my first post of “Having very bad tummy ache, in the toilet now” - that very post got my account banned…

I have managed to get my twitter account back and before getting serious into it, I am currently following a few Gurus on their daily venture - Joe “Mr. Fire” Vitale, Ed Dale, and Mike Filsaime.

So what’s the idea behind twittering as shared by Joe “Mr. Fire” Vitale

If you go to http://www.twitter.com and log in or create an account, you can follow me around in real time in an acceptable, polite, educational, non-stalker sorta way.

In short, I will “Twitter” what I am doing throughout my day — often right from my mobile phone as I’m doing it — and you can follow my path.

And if you poke around twitter.com, you’ll find more interesting people you can follow, too.

Some of the notables you’ll find there may surprise you.

Why care?

Several reasons, but here’s a good one –

You can learn what people you admire (or are just curious about) are doing, reading, writing, learning, promoting, discovering, eating, watching, etc.

Obviously, this can be a priceless education.

One good thing that I should add on top of Joe Vitale’s sharing is that, this can be one good gauge of your expertise (or your position as a expert in your niche) - if more people are following you, you are slowly becoming an expert - making money online is becoming simpler.

So get your hands dirty with Twitter today!

Is There Really A Ghost in Raffles City, Singapore?

Mr. Cake is afraid… and has been taking some sleeping pills to keep the ghostly image off his mind… Why? He saw a youtube video footage that there has been some ghost sightings near his working place. Also… he has the habit of staying late in the office due to heavy work commitments… He’s scared to encounter these “figures”. Watch this video and believe for yourself…

So what do you think? Is there really such a thing as ghost?

How To Write Articles to Drive Sales and Traffic

If you are into the Internet And Affiliate Marketing Scene long enough, you will know from many Gurus that you definitely need to use Article Marketing to help drive sales and traffic to whatever you are promoting…

I heard of that as well… but before I start to write my first few articles… i was thinking.. and I kept thinking… then I came to this conclusion… “oh how the heck do I start writing?

First solution:

There are a few good courses/e-books/even seminars/software/Ghost Writers that will help you to start writing your first article Do consider that an investment is needed before there are any results seen.

Second solution:

The lazy man method. Using Private Label Rights. What this mean is that you get rights to articles that are already written. You can do whatever you want with it. Change a few words in it, and that piece is originally yours!

The negative side, is definitely, the investment needed to get the Rights, and how good you are with your language to format your articles. Also, these rights are available easily, what you can get, many others can get it as well. Outcome = you can get penalize by the Search Engines for not being Original. (tough being an online marketer eh??)

The Last Crucial Method:

Learn from many of those who have written articles. Jimmy D. Brown and Marlon Sanders for instance, have written many good and worth-the-learn articles and they are flooded out there in the ezine directories waiting for you. There are also many other Gurus out there. Investment is free but time and effort is very needed! That’s what I did!

As you are reading this, I want to tell you that you can save a bit of the investment (time, money and effort) because, as a form of giving back to the community, I want to share with you a generalized format that Gurus use to write their articles…

Targeted Traffic Using Press Release

Press Release or part of Article Marketing, is one of the many techniques Internet Marketers are using to help bring targeted traffic back to your site and at the same time make yourself the expert in your field, if you constantly use this method.

If you have no idea of what a Press Release or also known as News release is, it’s basically a written or recorded communication directed at members of the news media for the purpose of announcing something claimed as having news value. (source from Wikipedia)

Some of these news media that most online marketers are using, you may have guessed it, the Search Engines - Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Ask and much more. Of course, Google being the Famous and Effective, in terms of using long-tail Keywords.

Google may not be the best choice as well, as depended on individual preferences. I do know of Friends who refuse to touch or know anything on Google.

The skills that you will need is that you really have to know your industry well enough and next, the ability to write good article with lots of newsworthy information on what you want to share and also good keywords linking you with the News Media and your site.

Here are some common steps to start using Press Release:
