Are You Still Waiting To Become An Online Marketer?

I was watching an episode of the “Tyra Bank Show” this morning, whereby one of her guests was actually sharing how precious time is - Once time is lost, it’s lost… have you make good use of it?

This makes very good sense to me and I was able to feel the impact of time when I had a talk with my friend over the “possibility of making money online”

A short description of my friend, let’s call him Mr. E, - male, happy with working for someone, very interested in soccer and spend most of his time reading and looking at soccer sites that offer good tips for him to bet on the matches. He is also constantly sharing soccer betting pointers to other friends through word of mouth.

Then he saw me going through my daily ritual of looking through all the MMO and Affiliate Marketing blogs in my Google Reader and decides to pop by my side and this are our conversation:

  • Mr. E: Is it really possible to make money online? Sounds like a scam to me…
  • Me: Why not? Though I am doing this part time, I am already seeing a small income coming in though not enough to support my lifestyle. How about this, I show you who are the successful ones - *showed sites of John Chow’s and Alvin Phang’s earnings*
  • Mr. E: Wow! Seems real to me! But how do they make money from? Can I be the same as you all?
  • Me: Of course, can! Do what you are good with and share information. You just need to know that people are always looking for information on a particular subject like, your soccer? Then you can make some money by displaying Ads, or selling affiliate products. You can even do it like a hobby!
  • Me: It may seem complicated at first, but the key point here is, get started soon if you are interested and you’ll get the hang out of it.
  • Mr. E: Interesting… making money from internet… but seems like a lot to be done, so… when I am really free, then I may consider… but this is really a good idea of making money. Thanks! *walks away and was seen talking to others on his wisdom of soccer betting*

There you see. My friend, a potential online money maker, decides to wait for the right time and right moment before he uses like hobby to help him make some money online.

With so many people going online everyday and creating new sites, you will never know that by the time you are ready with your stuff, there are already some sites which are more vibrant and offer better information. Because of the waiting, you lose out to better opportunities.

My Advice:

If you believe that you can make money online and you do have a certain hobby (do not need to be 100% committed) that you can share some of your wisdom on, get started (do it small) today and do not wait to become an online marketer. Once you get started, improve on your skills bit by bit everyday. That’s how you learn and become better.

If you do need a quick guide to get started online, use the below as a reference:

  • Sign up an account with Blogger and think of a general site name related to your hobby, preferably containing words that you may use while doing a search
  • Start blogging frequently to slowly expose your site to the search engines
  • What to blog? Use the basic - Who, What, When, Why and How, to help you along
  • Once you get a hang out of it, start exposing yourself to money making tools like affiliate products or Google Adsense and learn how they will work for you.
  • You may also consider upgrading to a self-hosted wordpress blog for more functions and to present yourself professionally.
  • From here, learn from the other successful online marketers and constantly improve.

Are You Ready To Outsource Your Business For Real Freedom?

I have just finished reading Timothy Ferriss’s The 4-Hour Workweek and it’s really a good read. This book has also been highly recommended by John Chow in his previous post (quite some time back).

This book really opened me up in the sense that if you are really keen in being your own boss, you do not have to feel more trapped like many other “bosses” out there, and to really enjoy real freedom of having all the time to yourself, have many vacations, do whatever you wish and yet do not have to worry about the lack of money - this can be a reality!

One of the tips being shared in The 4-Hour Workweek of breaking free is that to outsource your business out to professionals like:

  • If you are running a Retail Business, you can actually have a distribution center to take care of orders, process credit cards, take care of inventory, and delivery for just a fraction of your profit.
  • If you are into full-time blogging, you can hire ghost writers to write articles or create your info-products for you, by sharing the profits or a fee.

And since most of my readers, that includes you, are into online business and are interested to earn money out of your online marketing efforts, we try to focus a bit more of “how and what to outsource” for your online business in this post.

As I was researching for some information to be provided here, I came across some useful tips on what I needed to finish this post, as provided by none other than Jimmy D. Brown.

These are some useful tips that Jimmy D. Brown and Nicole Dean shared…

First and foremost, start by taking a good look at your online business and get your goals and priorities straight and you do not have to worry as it’s not nearly as complicated as it sounds.

What you can do for now is to grab a pen and a piece of paper or open your favorite word processor and divide your page into four columns and you’re ready to brainstorm.

On that piece of paper or word document - write everything down as it comes to your mind. Don’t think too much or crack your mind wide open on this. Just start writing whatever that comes to your mind.

Next, figure out what is working. Whatever it is.

It may be one of your websites, your ecourses, a joint venture, a certain marketing method.

Where is the bulk of your profit coming from, currently? (If there is none as yet, where do you believe will be the place where the largest profits will come from - you do not have to be really precised). Write those items in column #1 under: “Do More”.

Thirdly, figure out what is not bringing in money. Is it hanging out on forums or posting classified ads to freebie sites? Is it endlessly checking your stats, or email?  What are your daily time-suckers? Write those under column #2: “Do less”.

Then, figure out what could work better. Do you have upsells in place? Are your websites designed to bring you cash from every visitor? Make your list of ideas in column #3: “Improvements”. (If you don’t know yet, don’t worry. There are plenty of ways to improve your business as you learn and grow.)

Fifth, figure out what can be automated. Which tasks are repetitive and boring, albeit necessary? Many of those types of tasks can be automated with simple tools. For instance, if you’re submitting articles to directories by hand, there are tools and services to do that for you. Add these to column #4: “Automation”.

Now that you’re armed with your list, it’s time to get to work on your outsourcing.

Look at your list in Column #1: “Do More”. Those are the tasks that you should focus your energies on. It’s a good idea to tackle one or two of the tasks on that list first thing in the morning – every morning. It’s much more productive than checking out your favorite blogs or logging into twitter. And you’ll be amazed at how much you can get done quickly when your mind is fresh.

Look at your list in Column #2: “Do Less”. These activities should be forbidden until after you have gotten your #1 list done, if you do them at all. For instance, hanging out on Twitter is fun, but do not do it until everything in column #1 is finished for the day.

Now, go back to Column #1, 3, and 4 which are your “Do More”, “Improvements”, and “Automation” lists.

Look at all of the items that are on those three lists. Now, circle each task that you…

  • Can’t Do On Your Own
  • Don’t Have Time to On Do Your Own
  • Don’t Want To Do On Your Own

Those are the tasks that you’ll need to or ought to start outsourcing.

I hope with the above tips as shared by Jimmy D. Brown and Nicole Dean, you can now start to prepare a list of tasks to be outsources and set your business on automation and achieve real freedom. Real Freedom means a lot of things and it means freedom to do the things that you want to do for your own and your family.

I have prepared a file for you to start recording. Just Right-Click and Choose “Save as…” on this link (.pdf file)

If you are interested in the area of outsource but don’t know where to start? Nicole Dean and Jimmy D. Brown are inviting you to http://www.OutsourceWeekly.com where you’ll learn how you can get free time and earn more money while others run your business for you.

Google Is Releasing Numbers For Your Keywords Research

Google - the big Daddy of search engine, has just upgraded their Keyword Research Tool and I am liking it!

Some of my uses for Google Keyword Research Tool

I like to follow the success of some of the famous blogs like Alvin Phang’s GatherSuccess, John Chow and Carlo Cab.

By using the Google Keyword Research Tool, you can roughly gauge which keywords Google is ranking them in the search engine.

Next, after you know the keywords, you can follow their Posting Style, how they post and get ranked.

Then you can do your own routine research for your own blog to see which keywords are slowly being picked up by Google.

Google Keyword Research Tool - The Past

I must say, the Google Keyword Research Tool is a very handy tool indeed. After a few months of blogging and trying my hands on “making money online”, now my blog is being picked up by these keywords. *Pat on my back*

Definitely, putting my blog into this genre, is like a continuous battle of who is the best online money maker.

So using the Old Google Keyword Research Tool only tell you which are the keywords being picked up but you do not know which is the best keyword (= blogging direction) to use as what you see, are just colored bar.

Google Keyword Research Tool - The Present

With the recent upgrade by Google, I am seeing a grin on my face. Why? As you can see below:

The new Keyword Research Tool

Google is showing numbers! Now not only do you have the information of which are the keywords being picked up, you can now slowly narrow down to better research stuff like:

  • The Same - Which Keywords are low in Advertiser Competition (meaning keywords not being widely used)
  • The New - The Approximate Search Volume for last month and overall. This information can let you know the growing trend of keywords and which is the better choice.

This new feature is also widely raved about by successful internet marketers in terms of Affiliate Marketing. They are happy that now they can know which keywords they can use for their Adwords or Pay-Per-Click campaign without being in heavy competitions with others.

So if you are into Keyword Research, enjoy this new feature by Google Keyword Research Tool.

Is Online Marketing Getting Stale?

I was looking through all of my posts today.

Been a long while since I saw myself doing much of a review for a online marketing product. Erm, other than the fact that I just promoted Jimmy D Brown’s Membernaire Program in my latest post.

It’s not that there are no new products worth doing a review; everyday I am still receiving a huge list of emails promoting the next big thing, with the amazing offers of bonuses.

But my feeling after going through them - aren’t they offering the same old stuff again? Do you agree with me on that?

No offence there to all the internet marketers, but just feeling that the whole online marketing industry is not expanding much.

Much of the information being offered are still focusing on how to:

  • Get started in online marketing,
  • Drive Traffic to your site,
  • Build your own list and maintaining a good relationship,
  • Produce your own products,
  • Market your stuff to different channels like Amazon, eBay, Squidoo to the most common, Facebook and MySpace
  • Finally set all the above on automation and wait for the money to “roll” in?

Most of the information out there are still on these areas but just packaged differently. I remembered paying $97 for a certain ebook that some other is selling for $27 - same information, but just that the $97 ebook has a longer sales page and more bonuses.

So does it really work for all? I guess not, else most of the internetprenuers would have stopped buying all these same information.

But is there still hope or a certain bright light somewhere? My take is… Yes! I feel that a lot of new and full of potential internetprenuers have all the information needed to get started. But rather is the lack of having the same mindset as to those successful internet marketers, e.g.:

  • How to blog (the same style) like Darren Rowse, John Chow, Zac Johnson - they blog frequently and they are getting paid like CEOs.
  • How to create successful sites like ClickBank, Paydotcom, Click2Sell, or even Facebook, MySpace and Friendster.
  • Or even the owning the next big dream like becoming the next Google, Yahoo, Apple or Microsoft.

The last one may seem a bit far-fetched but nonetheless, nothing is impossible. I just hope to see more of myself doing reviews on these new subjects soon.

Entrecard Is Clearing Up The House

Entrecard.com is implementing a spring cleaning of its network by the 1st July.

Those who are dangerously affected will be those who are using “Quick Drop” aka “Power Drop” pages.

If you do not know what that is, simply put, a blank page with an Entrecard widget, sometimes with some extra junk like an ad in there too.

Entrecard is banning sites like this

This move is crucial as Entrecard is preventing the users to make use of these techniques to earn quick and huge amount of credits.

Do not worry, if you are operating a blog and using the widgets in the blog, this is perfectly safe - they just do not wish to see users creating a blank page with only the Entrecard Widgets in it.

My personal advice: It does not pay to be greedy!

Are You Using Amazon Web Services Technology?

Are you currently using Entrecard to promote your “business name card”?

If you do, you can know that Entrecard is one of those wonderful technologies, in my honest opinion, ever created to help promote social networking and your presence.

So if you have a similar idea as like the creator of Entrecard and just lacking the know-hows and infrastructure, wait no more, as my curiosity helps to source out a wonderful service as offered by Amazon.

This wonderful service is Amazon Web Services and you can click here to read more about who are some of the big boys (Entrecard is one of them, though not mentioned) using this service.

Why Should You Use Amazon Web Services?

Simply put, the infrastructure that Amazon.com is built upon is much raved about. From the way Amazon.com remembers everything you bought and to do frequent follow-ups and recommendations - totally impressed!

Tell me more about the Amazon Web Services then…

Ha.. I wish I can do so. I only just explored this service today. And secondly, I am not really a technical person but I can dig out from many marketers out there is that they are using Amazon Simple Storage Service or Amazon S3. If you are interested, gather your development team and explore this service today or even speak to one of their representatives.

Are there any bad side to this?

Nothing is perfect in this world. From what I have gathered, the flaw, which is quite common is that, your information is stored within Amazon.com Infrastructure. If they are down - your services will be down as well. You may also experience your users complaining that your services are delaying the load time of their sites.

My opinion: Explore Amazon Web Services today and gauge for yourself.

Using Google Analytics For Blogging Topics and Automated Money-Making System.

Are you one of those bloggers who face Writers’ Block frequently or do not have a specific direction on how your blog should go?

If you are having these problems… How about Using Google Analytics (Free Program) to help source some valuable ideas/topics today?

You can even use this as an automated money-making system to help you become a Guru, earn some nice dough promoting affiliate products and your own!

How good is that?

What is Google Analytics and How To Take Part?

Google Analytic, as simple as it is, is a tool offered by Google to help webmasters or bloggers like you and me to help track and monitor your traffic and visitors to your sites.

If you are using Google Adwords, Google Analytics is a by-far the best companion for it.

To learn more about the features, click on to understand better… And to sign on, if you are owning a Gmail Account, use that email address to sign up, it’s that simple.

Upon signing up, be ready to copy and paste the codes offered to your web template and wait for at least 24 hours for the first batch of keywords to appear.

Once you are ready… this is what you need to do after you sign in…

  • Look to the Sidebar and Click on “Traffic Sources then Keywords”

googleanalyticssidebar.jpg

  • From there, you will see some nicely-colored charts and way below, you’ll see the meat - the keywords that others are using to get to your site.googleanalyticskeywords.jpg
  • As seen above, you can see that in the typical month of June, some readers are getting to this blog via the 10 long-tail keywords. And the #1 keyword is “make money online forum” - which could mean that some readers are interested in finding forums that can teach them how to make money online (which is a problem and they need a solution!)

Once you have this kind of information in mind, it’s time to get cracking and put your thinking hat to use - be the expert in your niche - Provide some useful resources, marketing techniques, software, eb00ks  and target on this.

Repeat this process, get a hand of it and there you have it:

  • Lesser Writer’s Block Syndrome
  • Better Focus and Sense of Direction for your blog
  • A chance to be a solution-provider to your blog readers and make some money from it.

Why Working From Home, Making Money Online and Being Your Own Boss Will Always Be My Best Options

Wow, been a good Four Days interval since I last posted something here, seems like I have been ignoring my blog (and some others) and my readers for quite some time.

Therefore, my really sincere apologies! Very sorry!

The reason for the lack of consistent posting has been due to my “new rat-race job - as a salaried insurance consultant”, the nature of the job is like an admin + sales job,  subjecting me to a routine-liked schedule and energy-draining work environment.

After a long day of work, you simply have no mood to stare another computer screen. And if you have a bad day (especially in a sales environment - all the rejections) you will have even no mood to do anything else. The bed simply becomes your new best friend!

That brings me to my topic: “Working From Home, Making Money Online and Being Your Own Boss Will Always Be My Best Options”

I must admit, I choose a salary job because of insecurities - Monthly repayments for my University Loans and My Mum’s hospitalization bills.

As a start-up or online entrepreneur, there are still some uncertainties - the main worry will be that you’ll never know when is your next pay-day!

But the pay-off will definitely be better than any rat-race job => Freedom, More Energy and More Money!

Therefore it’s never too late to start anything especially if you are in the same shoes as me.

For a start now, I have started this blog to share my interests in the online marketing world - all the marketing methods and products that many successful marketers have created to teach you and me on how to make good money online.

I am also learning now on how to balance my work-life and my personal development to becoming my own boss.

I have also decided that the world of Affiliate Marketing, Internet Marketing and Network Marketing are some of the good options that I have came across and that you and me can definitely work from home, make money online and be your own boss and definitely escape the rat race.

If you and me share the same interests and goals, let’s make the internet a better place and help many others to have a better life!

If you have any good suggestions on how to improve or your personal experiences (other than spam comments), please share with me!
