Too Much Fire For Russell Brunson’s ExitFire?

One of the great names in the Online Marketing community, Russell Brunson, is out with a new exit-traffic-grabbing service called the ExitFire after his LinkBrander (affiliate link cloaking service and I personally recommend you to use this as it will hard-set the cookie for your affiliate ID, a bit black-hat but needed to prevent commission theft).

So How Will ExitFire Work For You In Getting Traffic To Your Promoting Site?

How many sites have you personally been to that will give you a pop-up asking you to stay on the page as there’s a special offer? Many? I presume so.

This is currently one of the common marketing techniques that many are using so that you can “stay-on” for another time and that you can “re-consider” another of their offer again.

As such, Russell Brunson’s ExitFire works in this manner – if your visitors feel that they are not ready for your current offer and decided to leave the site, you present to them with this pop-up. So rather than giving them a discount or more perks to your offer, you send them to another site (that’s of others)

In return you will get a credit point and you can utilize this credit point in exchange of a view of your desired site.

Furthermore, you get a chance to build up your army to join you and you get credit points for their activities thus giving you more opportunities to expose your site. A good viral marketing method!

If you are into Affiliate Marketing and have a certain product to promote, you can make sure of both services – LinkBrander & ExitFire to drive traffic. LinkBrander to cloak your affiliate link (also giving you a chance to get credit points to promote a text link) & ExitFire to drive traffic to your site.

But… But… Before You Get Too Excited…

Personally I think ExitFire is an excellent exit-traffic-grabbing service but as this is still a new service – there’s a house-keeping issue that I wish to highlight (as it may cause you to lose reputation for your site with the script code installed)…

As mentioned, ExitFire will generate a pop-up that will redirect you to another site. If you are there and not interested in that offer, you decide to leave, okay, so be it. End of story.

But should the redirected site (that you are using to promote) be embedded with the script code as well and thus asking you to visit another site (even though you can click to ignore). You see the impact? Will you be pissed-off? Now think of your own visitors? Your redirected site may not be blamed as your site are the first one that they have visited – your visitors do not know that you have installed ExitFire!

My Suggestion To You

Should you decide to use ExitFire, try to use the code on a site that has lesser traffic or sites that you do not need to capture the visitors as your subscribers, e.g. if you have those Ready-Made Niche sites. At least this will not drive your visitors crazy. If you have a prominent blog/site and you are causing this, the side-effect can be quite bad.

In any case, if you feel that you need a good recommendation for a Exit Traffic Software for your existing site, I would like to suggest to you to explore Dave Guidon’s ExitSplash – this is the software script that are used in most sites that have the Exit Pop-up. Enjoy getting more traffic to your site and make money!
